This unique acreage home construction project used a number of our products to create a functional and comfortable living space.
The residential structure was fully built using Insultated Concrete Form (ICF) blocks, including the sloped gables. For the window buck openings, Pro Buck was chosen. Pro Buck is designed to provide insulated framing and fastening surfaces around windows and doors.
To decrease thermal bridging through the trusses of the home, a layer of one inch Halo Interra was installed. This layer of interior sheet insultation adds continual insulation and a vapour barrier once the trusses were tapped.
The home was designed and constructed with suspended slab floors on the main floor and the decks to add strength and incorporate radiant floor heating. These features created a more comfortable living space.
